Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use haveseen at haveseen.tv. By using haveseen or creating an account, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.

1. The service

haveseen lets you keep a personal record of the shows, anime and films you watch, track your progress, see statistics and import your viewing history from other services. You can use it without an account (your list is then stored only in your browser) or create an account to sync your list across devices.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• Keep your sign-in details secure. You’re responsible for activity on your account.
• Give us an email address you control, so you can confirm your account and reset your password.
• You can delete your account at any time from the account menu.

3. Your content

Your lists, ratings and notes belong to you. You give us permission to store and process them only to run haveseen for you, for example to save them and sync them between your devices. We don’t publish your list or share it with other users.

4. Acceptable use

Please don’t:

• try to access other people’s accounts or data, or get around security measures;
• overload, scrape, or interfere with the service or the services it relies on;
• use haveseen for anything unlawful, or store content in it that you don’t have the right to store;
• create accounts automatically or in bulk.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

Community guidelines

Discussions and reactions are shared with other people, so a few extra rules apply to anything you post:

• Keep spoilers where they belong. Each episode and film has its own discussion. Don’t reveal what happens in later episodes, seasons or sequels.
• Be respectful. No harassment, hate, threats, or attacks on people for who they are.
• Nothing illegal or explicit. No illegal content, sexual content, or links to pirated streams.
• No spam or advertising.

Use Report on any comment that breaks these rules. Comments reported by several people, or reported as illegal, are hidden automatically while we review them. We may remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these guidelines. Your display name and comments are visible to anyone using haveseen; your library, ratings and reactions are not shown with your name.

5. Title information and third parties

Show, anime and film details and artwork come from third-party sources, including TVmaze, AniList, Wikipedia and (if you add your own key) TMDB. We can’t guarantee this information is accurate or complete. Imports rely on files and pages provided by streaming services, which may change without notice.

haveseen is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, Crunchyroll, Max, Apple, Letterboxd, MyAnimeList or any other service it mentions. Their names are used only to describe compatibility.

6. Availability

We work to keep haveseen running smoothly and your data safe, but the service is provided “as is”, without guarantees that it will always be available or error-free. We recommend exporting a backup from time to time. We may change, suspend or discontinue features. If we ever shut haveseen down, we’ll give you reasonable notice so you can export your data.

7. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, arising from your use of haveseen. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you use haveseen as a consumer, these terms don’t affect your statutory rights.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we’ll update the date above and let you know in the app. Continuing to use haveseen after a change means you accept the updated terms.

9. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you may also have the right to bring proceedings where you live.
