How to see your Netflix viewing history

See what you’ve watched

1. Sign in on the Netflix websiteGo to netflix.com in a web browser — on a computer, or your phone’s browser rather than the app.
2. Open Viewing activityGo to Account → Profiles, choose your profile and select Viewing activity. Or go straight to netflix.com/viewingactivity.
3. Load moreThe newest titles appear first, each with the date you watched it. Select Show more at the bottom to go further back.

Viewing activity is per profile. If something’s missing, check you’re on the right profile — each person’s history is kept separately.

Download your Netflix history

At the bottom of the Viewing activity page, select Download all. You’ll get a CSV file (NetflixViewingHistory.csv) listing every title with the date you watched it.

Want the time as well as the date, or how long you watched for? Request your full data from Netflix under Account → Security & privacy → Download your personal information. When it’s ready, the viewing activity file includes start times and durations.

Hide a title from your history

On the Viewing activity page, select the hide icon (a circle with a line through it) next to an episode or series. Hidden titles disappear from your history and from “Continue watching”. Netflix says it can take up to 24 hours to update on all devices.

Turn your Netflix history into a tracker

Netflix’s list is long and hard to use: every episode is a separate line and nothing tells you where you’re up to. haveseen turns it into a proper watch tracker.
