How to see your Amazon Prime Video watch history

Prime Video keeps a history of what you’ve watched on each profile. Here’s where to find it, how to remove titles, and how to keep a proper record of what you’ve seen.

Find your watch history

  1. Sign in on the Prime Video websiteGo to primevideo.com in a web browser and sign in. The website shows your history most reliably; the TV and phone apps don’t always show the full list.
  2. Open Settings → Watch historySelect your profile, open Settings and choose Watch history — or go straight to primevideo.com/settings/watch-history.
  3. Scroll backTitles are listed by the date you watched them. Scroll down to load older ones.

Watch history is kept per profile. If something seems to have disappeared, check you’re on the profile you watched it on.

Remove a title from your history

On the Watch history page, use the option next to a title to delete it from your watch history. Removed titles also stop appearing in “Continue watching”.

Get a full copy of your data

There’s no download button on the Watch history page. For a complete file, use Amazon’s Request your data page, choose Prime Video, and wait for the email. The download includes a viewing history spreadsheet.

Keep track of what you’ve watched

Prime Video’s history doesn’t tell you where you’re up to in a series, and it doesn’t include what you’ve watched anywhere else. haveseen does both.

  1. Copy your watch historyOn the Watch history page, scroll to the bottom so everything loads, then select all (Ctrl/⌘ + A) and copy.

Questions

Why is there something in my watch history I didn’t watch?

Someone else may be using your profile or account. Check your profiles, sign out of devices you don’t recognise in your Amazon account settings, and change your password.

Why has my Prime Video watch history disappeared?

History is kept per profile, so check you’re on the right one. Titles you’ve deleted from your watch history won’t come back.

Can I download my Prime Video watch history?

Not from the Watch history page. Use Amazon’s Request your data page and choose Prime Video to get a full file.

Can I see my watch history in the Prime Video app?

The website at primevideo.com/settings/watch-history is the most reliable place to see the full list.
